Co-signed by Dusty (Jazz Liberatorz), with whom he made his debut, and T-Love with whom he has worked with for many years now, Breiss does his work in the shadow of a fairly minimal home studio. Eclectic DJ & Digger, he mixes everything from Disco to House Music, and produces a groovy, Jazz- or Funk-infused Hip-Hop. His close proximity to the world of vinyl and his love for Rap music led him to do the remix of Jazz Liberatorz’s After Party (feat Wildchild), to produce Lemdi & Moax’s Kick Sale (Coffee Break Records) and T-Love’s Summertime People (Picki People Compilation).
Coincidentally, it would be via another track which Breiss produced on the Picki People Compilation, called Martinique, that the Meaux-Town beatmaker would arrive on Kiydrah’s radar. We’re talking some ten years after its first release. The young Killeen Texas artist obviously got excellent musical tastes.
Born in Germany about 20 years ago and part of Austin Texas's young guard, Kiydrah is a singer, songwriter and performer whose rap-tinged soul addresses the themes of coming to adult age and questionings that are unique to her generation. The path of the young lady is interesting and promising, between an excellent EP Muse in 2018 and multiple collaborations and appearances with a very effervescent scene of Austin and its surroundings. From this meeting via the Soundcloud platform, 7 titles quickly emerged. The Parisian label Coffee Break Records joins up with L.A.’s Picki People for the release of this 12-inch in the form of a business card of a new duo: Kiydrah & Breiss - Simulation.
