When lockdown began back in March of 2020, a DJ I barely knew (Trex) sent me an email with a request. He wanted to see if i'd be willing to make a mix for him in the vein of the homage mixes i've done in the past (Native Tongues, Outkast, etc.) but for his favorite MC of all time, the Funk Doctor Spock. He explained to me that he is a nurse working on the frontlines of the covid pandemic and proclaimed he always wanted something like this in his possession and now would be the ideal time to make it happen, especially with the future being so uncertain. Lump in my throat for real so I agreed without hesitation. We swiftly made a connection and have become friends since. I took the project very seriously and am truly happy to share this with the world, on his behalf of course. Shoutout to my man Trex for sparking the vision and to Dr. Trevis for the many years of dopeness. Now light one up!

Radio Juicy proudly presents Vienna aka Liam Mansfield, a young Canadian producer and beat maker hailing from Montreal. Drawing inspiration from Jazz, funk and beats, his music is often described as "crunchy" and alternative. Shared Space was produced during lockdown in 2020 and is an album encompassing Liam's feelings over a heavily charged year. At times sharing space can evoke feelings of claustrophobia, but it can also often be the opposite as being surrounded can be a very positive thing. This album explores the different states we've all been through during a crazy year, and thanks to some original features and collaborations the album ends up feeling far from locked down.
This is a great project for Radio Juicy to kickstart the new year right! Bringing together an handful of artists to deliver only the best sound. Vienna has his very unique and personal style and we think his originality is what makes him a fantastic producer.

Kristoffer Eikrem & Beautiful Disco met in the most millennial way possible, through the internet! After listening to each others music for a while and sending messages forth and back on the gram, they decided that they wanted to collaborate on some beats. Some beats turned in to a lot of beats, and all of a sudden they had enough material to put together an album. «Dusk / Dawn» is the name of their collaborative effort, and it houses features such as the Norwegian MC Vuyo, Mutual Intentions-signee Zee and the South Korean up and coming singer DAHEE. The album provides a good mix of jazzy beats and soulful vocals blended together in a soothing soundscape.
