Favorite Recordings presents an exclusive collaboration between French producer Bruno ‘Patchworks’ Hovart (Voilaaa, Mr President, Taggy Matcher, …) and Australian NYC-based rapper and poet Nelson Dialect. The two artists met two years ago after Nelson’s gig in Lyon and, of course, they discussed and seriously planned to collaborate one day, both having an everliving love for early nineties hip hop. Then came the quarantine and Covid-19 with Patchworks locked in Lyon, Nelson Dialect in NYC: it seemed to be the right time to do it. A few months later and they finally drop Blue Benz, the result of their long distance collaboration, coming as a beautiful 7inch filled with proper Jazz & Soul Hip Hop vibes.

“The Connect EP” is a collaborative project between Canadian emcee, Es and United Kingdom DJ/Producer/Engineer, DJ Pandamonium. The two connected via a DJ Pandamonium post on a Facebook hiphop group page which caught Es’ attention. The two would eventually connect, get better acquainted with each other’s musical prowess, and the rest, you can say is history. This 6 track EP came together within a few months and showcases their mutual love for true school inspired boom bap hiphop. From two different continents, hiphop was the connecting force. It was only right that the project be titled as such. Enjoy!

Lord Beatjitzu's first official release on tape saw light in 03/11/2016, it was under his "Bruce Li" alias, album title was "Wu-Tang Disciples aka Sunz of Wu-Tang" and it was released in collaboration with Asgard Records, since then we put together more than a dozen beat tapes under his different aliases, always keeping quality as a priority and always trying to give you the best tapes you could find out there, some of those tapes were even double tapes meaning you got 2 albums in a single cassette, others were designed to have reversible artwork, some even full body printed cassette shells and a couple were released just at cost, meaning we really did it for the culture!

Lord Beatjitzu and us (Asgard Recods family) feel extremely satisfied with the work we put together and also feel extremely grateful for the support we had received over the years, we believed on tape and we still doing it today and it is a pleasure to see there is still a lot of people buying and supporting indie artist like us.

Lord Beatjitzu asked me to let you all know this will be his LAST AND FINAL beat tape, yes, sad news but it is real folks! this is his last beat tape ever and we thought just as his first release saw light in yellow and purple shells, his last and final tape should go full circle and return to the same colors so here you go, make sure to grab one or two, this as just every other of his tapes released under Asgard Records will be a collectible piece that will just increase in value over the years! stay safe, thanks once again for the support and stay safe!

Moka Only (Daniel Denton) is an iconic artist in Canadian hip-hop, based out of Vancouver, performing musical feats under any one of his mysterious aliases. He is an acclaimed underground champion, and a true storyteller with an unfathomable collection of stories to tell. Moka works as a multi-faceted artist, and has been writing, producing, and creating relentlessly since the late nineties.

In mid-2019, several demos fell into our clutches from digitalluc’s finicky hands: Laid-back thrilling instrumentals, between a fierce, defined bounce and hypnotically fluttering sample-work in outstandingly harmonious unity.

Various solo EPs, LPs with professional craftsmen like Walterwarm (“Fungus” 2018) and Smuv (“Nest” 2016) as well as numerous productions for his Fanso Crew in Madrid (inter alia “Música para Lagartos” 2018, “Acid House” 2015) show Made in M’s great repertoire and sense for instrumental and rap productions. Finally, those lead to Made in M’s first release on Sichtexot in the shape of the SXT-Tracks issue “Madriz” in April 2020 – now following, the first Made in M solo project in album length: “Garbeo”.

By having roots in Tenerife and being formed in Madrid, the Berliner-by-choice walks barefeet over the warm, black beaches of the Canary Islands as well as through the nights in European megacities.

With guest contributions from inter alia WunTwo, digitalluc and Anthony Drawn, Made in M escorts you on 21 tracks organically and with accurate groove escapades through the premature dusk of your late summer. So to speak, the last “poquito de sol” carved in vinyl before autumn arrives.
